This brick colonial in a Boston suburb was the perfect home for a family relocating from the mid-west. Along with a full-gut renovation of the basement, first and second floors we were able to provide a warm and inviting home reflecting our client’s needs. The non-descript entry foyer was retro-fitted with a new solid mahogany front entry door and side lights as well as a redesigned main staircase. The solid mahogany newel post was custom designed from an antique pool table once owned by the couple. New lighting and a full solid wood trim package along with a massive black crystal chandelier and custom antique wall mirror add to the glamour and warmth of the new foyer. The small family room was opened up into the kitchen and breakfast room featuring a stone fireplace built from stones we sourced from the client’s own backyard. This new open floor plan showcases a newly transformed backyard complete with a new pool and pool house. The end result is a warm and inviting home in which our clients can comfortably live and entertain.
